Home learning

Ensuring we leave room for children to play and explore the world around them, we recognize the important role that both parents and teachers play in developing a positive attitude towards learning.

We believe home learning should:

  • consolidate the learning that has happened in the classroom
  • engage parents with their children’s learning
  • offer further stimulation and enthusiasm for school and learning
  • help foster good organizational habits which is a good preparation for the demands of secondary school (especially for groups 6 and 7)

We initiate school to home and home to school learning communication about learning activities. At the start of every IPC unit parents receive a “Start Letter”, which outlines what learning will be covered in said unit. From time to time, we invite parents to attend specific activities related to IPC so children can celebrate their learning.
